The start of the IHSAA Sectional 5 Girls Diving Prelims will be delayed by 30 minutes on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, due to a low number of divers scheduled to compete. The prelims were originally supposed to start at 9:00 AM and will now start at 9:30 AM.

Spectator Parking: Spectators should park in the Natatorium/Field house lot outside Door 11. Overflow parking will go to the lot to the West and doors 15 and 21 will also be open to the building.
Admission: Competing participants listed on the sectional entry form, 2 coaches and 1 student manager shall be admitted upon arrival. Only these individuals will be permitted on the deck area. We ask that school administrators sign in at the main table. Conference passes cannot be accepted.
Season Ticket: $10.00 Session Ticket: $6.00 Pre-School children: No charge
Awards: The sectional championship trophy will be presented to the winning team immediately following the 400-yard freestyle relay on Saturday. Individual ribbons will be presented to the top eight finishers immediatel400-yarding the championship heat in each event. Ribbon winners should report to the designated awards area at the northeast corner of the pool at the conclusion of their race. The top eight finalists will be led to the award podium. Once they are in place, the public address announcer will recognize the top 16 finishers.
Concessions: A concession stand will be open for all sessions.
Restrictions: Balloons, banners, body paint, glitter and posters, shakers on a stick, etc. are not permitted. Cowbells and other such noise devices, etc. are not permitted. Radios etc. are permitted in the pool area provided earphones are used.
Qualifying for the State Meet:
1. First place sectional winners in each event, plus
2. Any contestant who equals or betters the state standard in their respective event in the championship or consolation finals of the sectional, plus
3. The next fastest number of contestants in the state to bring the total number of entrants to 32 in each event. In the event a tie exists for the 32nd position, the entrant shall be determined by the fastest preliminary time of both swimmers. If prelim times are identical, both swimmers shall advance.
1. First through fourth place sectional finishers will qualify for the diving regional.
2. First through eighth place regional winners will qualify for the state finals.
